Research Analyst (Summer 2025 Internship)

Ninja Analytics is seeking three (3) Research Analysts/Data Scientists for a paid 10-12 week Summer 2025 Internship.

We are excited to announce a summer 2025 student internship in partnership with the School of Mathematical and Data Sciences at West Virginia University (WVU). The Summer 2025 Ninja internship will be conducted remotely and will provide students with practical mentorship and experience in the fast-paced, challenging, and competitive IT environment. Interns are expected to take ownership of projects to contribute to the company’s continued success. Interns will work with employees at various levels within the organization, providing opportunities to explore potential careers in multiple facets of the IT profession.
Interns will be assigned a mentor for internship guidance. The mentor will work with each intern to identify a selected area of concentration to help facilitate a broader view of the function and navigate the corporate, customer, and cultural landscapes.
We encourage resume submission as soon as possible - interviews are expected to start the week of April 14, 2025, with selections finalized by April 25, 2025.
Responsibilities Include:
Specific responsibilities will depend on the area of concentration. General responsibilities include:
- Learning key technical skills and applying that knowledge to solve problems as directed.
- Learning basic troubleshooting skills, quality assurance, and requirements interpretation.
- Working alongside experienced team members and expanding knowledge developing the ability to demonstrate skills.
- Building awareness and understanding of tools and processes and demonstrating use under direction.
- Performing all other tasks as assigned. The expected starting date for this position is flexible but generally will start in the May or June 2025 timeframe.
Qualifications and Desired Skills:
- Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a technology or computer-related field of study (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics)
- Interest in working with graph-based technologies, link analysis, financial analysis and illicit behavior detection.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Basic SQL, Python, and/or relevant computer languages.
- Ability to work remotely.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented, hardworking, and enthusiastic.
- Security Clearance sponsorship may be available, if desired.
