We are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst capable of working collaboratively and independently. The ideal candidate has experience in immediate targeting and long-term investigative support related to illicit financial activity. The analyst should have knowledge of traditional financial regulations/reporting requirements, and experience with ever evolving cryptocurrency financial trends and tracing capabilities. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing financial data such as Bank Secrecy Act reporting, open-source intelligence like LN, corporate registry databases, along with social media, and government data sources.

You will provide transactional and network analysis of traditional financial data and cryptocurrency assets. Your expertise in both traditional financial analysis and the rapidly evolving cryptocurrency landscape will be crucial in driving informed decision-making and supporting our customer’s regulatory, law enforcement, and national security missions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Analysis:

  • Perform comprehensive financial analysis, including network analysis and trend monitoring of illicit financial activity.

• Cryptocurrency Analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth tracing and analysis of cryptocurrencies on asset and token based blockchains.

  • Monitor and evaluate trends, news, and developments in the crypto space to identify risks for law enforcement or industry partners.

• Reporting and Communication:

  • Prepare quick hit summaries, slick sheets, presentation, detail reports, dashboards, and network analysis charts.

  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management and external partners.

• Risk Management:

  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and compliance requirements related to digital assets.

• Collaboration and Support:

  • Work closely with analysts and leadership in different divisions to assist in targeting and long-term investigations.

  • Assist customer with coordination and support of external partners on various targeting and intelligence products.

Qualifications:

• Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Political Science, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Financial Analyst, with a developed knowledge of cryptocurrency trends, tracing, and OSINT tools.

• Technical Skills:

  • Experience with industry tracing tools such as Reactor by Chainalysis and Forensics by TRM Labs

  • Familiarity with OSINT blockchain explorers, government financial and LE databases, LexisNexis, Babel Street, Gemini, CLEAR, and other traditional OSITN tools.

• Soft Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Selected applicants must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance
